A method for manufacturing a tree protector using a laser is provided to cut a metal board using a laser in order to maintain the surface of the processed metal board clean. A tree protector comprises a support frame(1), a protective plate(2) and a plurality of rotary covering boards(3). The protective plate is installed in the support frame and has a through-hole(21) in the middle. The rotary covering boards are installed in the inner wall of a through-hole. A method for manufacturing the tree protector comprises the following steps of: preparing a metal board for the protective plate and the rotary covering board; inputting information about a cutting part, the through-hole and the like into a laser processing machine; cutting and processing the metal board according to the inputted information; curving the processed protective plate and rotary covering board; welding '±‘'-shaped channels at constant interval to the inner side of the through-hole located in the curved protective plate; and forming a thin layer on the surface of the curved rotary covering board and the welded protective plate.
