An apparatus and a method for coding signaling information in a wireless digital broadcasting system are provided to maintain the coding performance of each code word block according to the LDPC coding by considering the performance characteristic which is changed according to the amount of the input information bits. One code word block is generated by coding the pre-signaling information(302) representing the information relating the transmission method of the signaling information. The code word block is generated by performing the coding by inserting a padding bit(306) or dividing the signaling information to have the same input bit number as the pre-signaling information.
