The cage (1) has a rear wall (6) articulated on its upper part around a longitudinal axle (2) such that the wall moves towards inside the cage from a vertical position towards an inclined position for forming a fattening space in which the palmipeds are immobilized. The wall has a set of vertical wires forming a comb. A floor structure (5) has a set of horizontal wires forming another comb, on a portion of its part of a side of a rear wall. A lower end of each of the vertical wires crosses a space between the horizontal wires so that the combs remain crossed during the displacement of wall.
