An apparatus for sealing a first surface comprising an injection molding nozzle head and a second surface comprising a hot runner manifold in an injection mold, the apparatus comprising: an active material actuator disposed to move the first surface toward the second surface; and transmission structure configured to transmit electricity, in use, to said active material actuator , to cause said active material actuator to seal the injection molding nozzle head to t he hot runner manifold.
