An expansion joint apparatus for a bridge is provided to prevent foreign material from being infiltrated to a separate space part effectively by being installed between adjacent upper plates and performing expansion function. An expansion joint apparatus(100) for a bridge comprises a base plate(110), a pair of finger blocks(120) and a foundation framework(150). The base plate comprises first and second plates(112,112a). A foreign material blocking part(130) is installed between the finger block and the base plate. The foreign material blocking part prevents the foreign materials from being infiltrated into the separate space part of the upper plate. The foreign material blocking part is composed of a first noise-damper(134) and a second noise-damper(134a). The first noise-damper and the second noise-damper are equipped on the top of the first and the second plates. The first noise-damper and the second noise-damper are supported with a first support member and a second support member. The first support member is equipped on the top of the first noise-damper. The second support member is equipped on the bottom of the second noise-damper. |
