<p>A battery system of a plug-in HEV(Hybrid Electric Vehicle) is provided to increase total battery capacity by additionally mounting an auxiliary battery pack in a main battery pack. A battery system of a plug-in HEV includes a main battery pack(10) and an auxiliary battery pack(20). The auxiliary battery pack includes an auxiliary battery, a DC/DC converter, a charger, and a battery management system. A plus terminal and a minus terminal of the auxiliary battery are connected to a main battery of the main battery pack. The DC/DC converter is connected to the auxiliary battery in order to perform a power conversion. The charger charges the auxiliary battery. The battery management system manages charge and discharge of the auxiliary battery. The battery management system manages the auxiliary battery of a cell unit and the auxiliary battery of a module unit.</p> |
