PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel cancer marker for determining a prognosis of a cancer and provide a method for inspecting a cancer cell using the marker. SOLUTION: Since a survival rate and a disease-free survival rate are confirmed to be significantly low in the negative case that an RB1CC1 (RB1-inducible coiled-coil 1) is negative in comparison with the positive case, based on a result of recognizing the importance of the RB1CC1 and checking a relation between a prognosis of a cancer patient and the RB1CC1, the presence or absence of a development of the RB1CC1 is used as a significant cancer marker in order to determining the prognosis of the cancer. For example, the RB1CC1 is detected in the case of a breast cancer, whereby the prognosis of the breast cancer can be determined. Furthermore, a p53 and an RB1 are detected in parallel with the RB1CC1, whereby the prognosis of the breast cancer can be estimated more precisely. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
