PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a misdiagnosis of a belt clamping force adjusting mechanism in a continuously variable transmission.
SOLUTION: Whether a target variable speed ratio RATIOT is in a lower region than a predetermined variable speed ratio c is determined as a precondition (S102). The region of RATIOT<c is a region outside a region that can be reached during the failure of a solenoid valve. In the case of the target variable speed ratio RATIOT≥c (No in S102), the belt clamping force adjusting mechanism is not diagnosed. Consequently, a misdiagnosis of being normal even in the failure of the solenoid valve is not made. In the case of RATIOT<c, if such a state occurs that an actual variable speed ratio cannot get close to the target variable speed ratio RATIOT (DWDLPR<e) during the execution of control to reduce a variable speed ratio (PDS1≥d) (Yes in S104), a failure is determined (S106). In a region of RATIOT<c, if the actual variable speed ratio can get close to the target variable speed ratio RATIOT (DWDLPR≥f, No in S104 and Yes in S108), it is determined to be normal (S110).
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
