PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method etc., for producing a composite material comprising a plastic injection molded product capable of carrying out porosification without selecting the kind of the plastic, and forming a metal film such as a plated film having good surface roughness and high adhesion. SOLUTION: The method for producing the composite material comprising a plastic injection molded product 100 includes forming an extractant-containing layer 401 containing the extractant on the surface of the plastic injection molded product 100, bringing high-pressure carbon dioxide into contact with the extractant-containing layer 401, and removing the extractant from the extractant-containing layer 401.
