PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure sufficient adhesive strength between each of the pair of bases of a liquid-crystal display panel and a surface bonded to a sealant. SOLUTION: The display device has a display panel having a first base formed with a predetermined integrated circuit, a second base positioned over one surface of the first base, and an adhesive member positioned between the first base and the second base and having an annular planar shape when seen from above the surface of the first base, the first base and the second base being bonded to each other by the adhesive member. The outer periphery of the adhesive member as seen from above the surface of the first base has a section consisting of a plurality of first portions passing through approximately the same position as the outer periphery of the surface of the first base, and a plurality of second portions connected to two of the first portions adjacent thereto, with the circumferential center of each of the plurality of second portions receding toward the inner periphery of the adhesive member as seen from above the surface of the first base.
