Provided are a method for processing a color image, a color image processing device and a color image processing program that achieve a desired color reproducibility of a specific subject in a color image picked up by a color imaging apparatus and are configured to improve in texture. A method for processing a color image restores a spectral distribution of illumination by using color information in a region of a specific subject in an input image and a representative surface reflectivity designated in advance of the specific subject, restores a surface reflectivity in the region of the specific subject from the color information and the spectral distribution of the illumination, corrects the surface reflectivity by using three or more reference surface reflectivities of the specific subject designated in advance, and calculates a color in the region of the specific subject from the spectral distribution of the illumination and the corrected surface reflectivity.
