<p>The present invention concerns a process for the recoveryoforganic compounds from a wastewater stream resulting from the introduction of an aqueous solution to a neutralized phenoliccleavage product mixture and from the purification of acetone, which process comprises adding an eluent to the wastewater stream, thereby forming an aqueous mixture, subsequently conducting the aqueous mixture into a separation vessel (1), wherein it is allowed to settle into two phases, which form a stream of organic compounds and a water stream, subsequently collecting the stream of organic compounds, and conducting the water stream into a separation column (2) for further separation, separating the water stream in the column using heat to form an overhead portion and a bottoms portion, and collecting the overhead portion as well as the bottoms portion.</p> |
