<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage method of methane for emitting adsorption heat generated in methane adsorption to the outside of a system by circulating gas, maintaining a temperature in a tower constant, and adsorbing the methane efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: Methane is adsorbed and stored by pressurizing and introducing the methane in an adsorption tower filled with alkali metal and alkaline-earth metal ion exchanged faujasite as the methane adsorbent, and contacting with the adsorbent. A circulating line from a rear of the adsorption tower to an inlet pressurization line is provided, the adsorption heat in accordance with methane adsorption is emitted by the circulating gas to the outside of the system by a compressor after-cooler to maintain a temperature in the tower constant and efficiently adsorb the methane. In this process, a chiller unit is provided behind the compressor after-cooler to supply methane at a low temperature lower than room temperature to the adsorption tower and adsorb it at the low temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
