PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tank for holding a composition containing an aromatic carboxylic acid, capable of stably improving the accuracy of a differential pressure liquid level meter while preventing the clogging of a pipe. SOLUTION: The tank for holding the composition comprises a tank body 100 for holding a liquid composition 101 and a differential pressure liquid level meter 200 to measure the position of the liquid level 102 in the tank body 100. The differential pressure liquid level meter 200 is provided with a first pipe 210 having a hollow part 211 opened in the tank body 100, a first pressure transmission means 220 to transmit the pressure in the hollow part 211, a second pipe 230 having a hollow part 231 opened in the tank body 100, a second pressure transmission means 240 to transmit the pressure in the hollow part 231, a pressure difference measuring means 250 to measure the transmitted pressure difference, a first heating medium pipe 262 to supply the first heating medium to the first pipe 210, and a first controlling means 281 to control the temperature and/or the flow rate of the first heating medium 262 in a manner to keep the quantities within respective definite ranges.
