PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform operation to partially cut away the sandwiching portions of a joint member without taking plenty of time. SOLUTION: This joint member for a passenger conveyer extends along the traveling direction of a plurality of steps endlessly connected and circularly moved, and covers a boundary portion between a deck and a rail panel. The joint member 13 has a long base portion 15 extending in one direction, and a pair of sandwiching portions 16a, 16b extending from the base portion 15 to a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the base portion 15 and sandwiching the edge of the deck. The sandwiching portions 16a, 16b are formed with portions 18 having cutout lines formed by hand when partially cutting out the sandwiching portions 16a, 16b. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
