PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that lateral smear may occur conventionally even in if there is a high-luminance subject, since GND potentials of ground line disposed in a direction of rows and of pixels connected to the ground line for each column are made unstable by variation in a constant current source disposed for each column or variation in a constant current source inside column amplifiers. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 101 includes: pixels disposed in a two-dimensional shape and each including a photoelectric conversion section for converting light into an electric signal; a plurality of vertical signal lines connected in a direction of rows with pixels disposed in a direction of columns for receiving electric signals read from the pixels; first constant current sources provided for each of the vertical signal lines; column amplifiers CAMP(1)-CAMP(N) including second constant current sources for amplifying electric signals read out to the vertical signal lines; and constant voltage sources connected to first contacts of the first constant current sources and connected to second contacts of the second constant current sources built in the column amplifiers.
