<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide Cortinellus shiitake laccase, to provide a nucleic acid encoding the same, and to provide a method for oxidizing a phenolic substance with the laccase. <P>SOLUTION: Provided are a laccase gene Lcc4 originated from Cortinellus shiitake fruit body; a protein containing a specific amino acid sequence, or a protein which comprises an amino acid sequence of the above protein whose one or more amino acids are deleted, replaced or added, and has laccase activity; a nucleic acid which contains one portion or all portions of a nucleic acid sequence encoding the protein; an application for oxidizing the substrate, typically a phenolic substance; and the utilization of the laccase for soil purification, delignification treatments and food additives. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
