摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for improving combustion, and improving use durability, in a combustion chamber structure. SOLUTION: A top surface of a piston 3 except for a cavity 31 is flatly formed, and a clearance is arranged between the top surface of the piston 3 when the piston 3 is positioned in the top dead center and a valve under surface of an intake valve 9 and an exhaust valve 10 maximally lifted to the piston 3 side, and the inner bottom of the cavity 31 is formed of a conical surface 32 having the center most protruded to the cylinder head 4 side and a peripheral concave surface 33 recessed to the opposite side of a cylinder head 4 from the peripheral edge of the conical surface 32. A fuel spray F injected from a fuel injection nozzle 13 collides with the conical surface 32 when the piston 3 is positioned in the top dead center, and a collision position of the fuel spray F injected from the fuel injection nozzle 13 passes through a boundary 34 between the conical surface 32 and the peripheral concave surface 33 when the piston 3 moves before and after the top dead center.
