PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a backfire of a combustion chamber from entering into a volume chamber 11, in an intake manifold 1 having a membrane-type resonator 6. SOLUTION: This intake manifold 1 is provided with a communication passage 12 for communicating a connection pipe 4 with the volume chamber 11 of the membrane-type resonator 6. Thus, the backfire from the combustion chamber cannot enter into the volume chamber 11 unless the backfire enters into a surge tank 3 and passes through the connection pipe 4 and the communication passage 12. Therefore, a path length for the backfire into the volume chamber 11 can be made long, such that the backfire from the combustion chamber can be restrained from entering into the volume chamber 11.
