A lid for a beverage container. The lid has a drink opening portion that is moveable from a closed position to an open position. When in the open position the drink opening portion forms a depression in the top of the lid. The depression has a floor extendi ng from a radially inner wall to a radially outer wall, the walls being integral with the top of the lid. When pushed into the open position, openings are formed on either side of th e depression between the inner and outer walls and the top of the lid and the floor.
