PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of displaying an appropriate image in a display means. SOLUTION: The image display device 4 includes: an image output means 41, an LCD unit 43, and a relay means 42 which relays image information outputted by the image output means 41 and outputs it to the LCD unit 43. The relay means 42 has an image information synthesis part 425 which synthesizes the image information outputted by the image output means 41 with synthesis information to be synthesized with the image information and increases information amount of respective pixels in the image information.
