PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved headrest which not only insures to support a head of seat occupant, but also provide a highly improved absorption of impact energy given to the seat occupant's head. SOLUTION: A support bar 14 is disposed and fixed between the right and left vertical shaft parts 12a of a stay at a position spaced downwards from the upper end horizontal shaft part 12b of the stay at the internal position of a pad body 16 around the upper part of the stay. The support bar 14 is formed to have at least partially a weak part which can be buckled only by the input of a load in emergency such as a back collision.
