<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for suppressing stepping out of a motor and misalignment of an image to recording material and for carrying out image formation at high productivity by carrying out conveyance control of the recording material suitable for a supplying opening of the recording material. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus controls conveyance of the recording material by determining a conveyance mode for the recording material to a first conveyance mode or a second conveyance mode according to the supplying opening which feeds the recording material during image formation. Here, the first conveyance mode starts conveyance of the recording material before starting the image formation and adjusts transfer timing by stopping the conveyance of the recording material temporarily. Meanwhile, the second conveyance mode starts conveyance of the recording material after starting the image formation and adjusts the transfer timing by accelerating or slowing down the conveyance speed for the recording material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
