<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood pressure measuring device allowing a user to easily wear a cuff at an accurate position. <P>SOLUTION: A sphygmomanometer is provided with an angle sensor 14 on the cuff to detect an angle formed by an air bag 13. The sphygmomanometer defines a straight line formed by connecting the artery to the angle sensor 14, when the angle sensor 14 located at a substantially central position of the air bag 13 is positioned immediately above the artery, as a reference, and determines whether an angleθ1 formed between a straight line which connects the artery to the angle sensor 14 and the reference is within a threshold or not. The determination is made before measuring the blood pressure and is displayed. Therefore, the user can appropriately wear the cuff while seeing the display before the measurement and after that, performs the measurement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
