PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light beam generation device in which heat generated in a light source is effectively radiated and effect of temperature change upon a lens system is suppressed. SOLUTION: A fixing plate 12, a first and a second heat radiation blocks 9 and 10, a heat insulation plate 8, a Peltier element 7, a lens base 5 and a holder 3 of an LD 2 are layered in the vertical direction orthogonal to an optical axis Cl in a light beam device 1. Thus, the direction of the heat radiation of LD2 is as shown with an arrow Y in the figure and the heat is effectively radiated from the fixing plate 12 having a large heat radiation area. A collimator lens 4 is housed in a lens holder 6 composed of an heat insulating material, and thus does not receive the effect of the temperature change. Further, the second heat radiation block 10 is slid in the direction shown with an arrow A and moves the Peltier element 7 in the direction of thickness and absorbs a thickness tolerance.
