PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To densely store a great deal of ice by evenly storing the ice in an ice storage tank, particularly in a spreading direction, in a dynamic type ice bank system. SOLUTION: Ice-water slurry S is delivered upward from below from a feed opening 5a of a feed pipe 5 in the ice storage tank, and the feed opening 5a of the feed pipe 5 is positioned above a water level L in the tank. A bulging height Hice of the ice in the ice storage tank when a predetermined ice storage rate is achieved in the ice storage tank is determined, a water column height H of a dynamic pressure part of the ice-water slurry S is determined from a flow velocity of the ice-water slurry S in the feed opening 5a, and a height h subtracting H from Hice is set at a height position of the feed opening 5a above the water level.
