In order to facilitate the grasp of the feature of the whole workflow performed by the user by enabling the classification of the workflow to be properly performed, a workflow processing method includes a step of extracting a series of business data performed for each matter from a database for storing the results of a business processing to generate the process instances in which the business name of a business performed for each matter is arranged in chronological order, a step of judging whether a regression returning from a first business of the process instances to a second business thereof performed earlier occurs for each of the process instances, a step of deleting the redundant regression of the regression of a process instance in which the regression occurs for each pattern type of regression, a step of counting process instances after the deletion of the redundant regression for each type, and a step of identifying a process instance the appearance frequency of which is not less than a predetermined reference and after the deletion of the redundant regression to output it as the main workflow.
