PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent oxidation combustion of impurity during removing work of the impurity by enabling oxidation prevention gas or combustion prevention gas to be spouted to a scooping part from a handle part of a removing implement thereby protecting the impurity scooped up from molten metal surface by gas atmosphere. SOLUTION: This implement for removing the impurity is composed of the scooping part for impurity and the handle part fitted to the scooping part. The handle part is formed into hollow-shape with the use of a tubular body equipped with a stop valve. At the rear end of the handle part, a connecting implement for a gas hose is provided. The inside of the handle part is configured to function as a gas passage and oxidation prevention gas or the combustion prevention gas can be spouted to the scooping part from the distal end opening of the gas passage.
