PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airflow type classifier which can suppress excess powdering and coarse powder contamination, efficiently enable reuse of generated excess fine powder and is thus suitable for producing a powder material such as a dry type toner in terms of improvement of the efficiency of power consumption. SOLUTION: The airflow type classifier 100 includes a center core 5 with a shade-like shape and a separator core 8 with a shade-like shape and having an aperture part in the center installed in a cylindrical casing having a powder material supply port 1a for supplying high pressure air and a powder material, a dispersion chamber 1 for dispersing a powder material supplied together with the high pressure air and a classifying chamber 2 for separating the powder material flowing in from the dispersion chamber 1 into a fine powder and a coarse powder by centrifugation. A louver ring 1Q formed by arranging a plurality of guiding blades 1q circularly at constant intervals and a space 1b to form a channel for the high pressure air and the powder material supplied through the powder material supply port 1a to the outer circumference of the louver ring 1Q are formed in the dispersion chamber 1.
