<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication module and a method for using the same, which eliminate a tangle in optical fiber interconnection and reduce the amount of an optical fiber used. <P>SOLUTION: The optical communication module comprises an optical package 2, an optical filter 3, an optical block 4, a housing 5, a circuit board 6 in the housing and an electric connector 7. The optical block 4 comprises a front side lens part 8, a back side lens part 9, a light incident port, and a light exit port. The optical filter 3 obliquely crosses the optical axis of the front side lens part 8 and the back side lens part 9. The optical package 2 is provided so that the optical axis between the optical filter 3 and the optical package 2 and the optical axis between the front side lens part 8 and the optical filter 3 form an angle of 90 degrees. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
