<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical stapling instrument, including an actuator knob, that is movable from one side surface to the other side surface of the stapling instrument. <P>SOLUTION: The stapling instrument can include a pusher bar, a housing having a first side surface and a second side surface, and the actuator knob rotatably installed on the pusher bar. The actuator knob is composed to be rotatable between a first position where the actuator knob is movable along the first side surface of the housing and a second position where the actuator knob is movable along the second side surface of the housing. The surgical stapling instrument can include more than one actuator knobs.
