<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary self-propelled endoscope which reduces twist of an insertion section to allow rotation of an end part of the insertion section with efficient followability and can improve insertability. <P>SOLUTION: The rotary self-propelled endoscope 2 has a tubular outer shaft 11 of which the surface is spiraled over at least the entire length of a slender insertion section body 8 having the end part 9 and which is rotatable about a longitudinal axis, the inner shaft 12 which is rotatably inserted into the outer shaft 11 and connected with the end part 9 of the insertion part body 8, and a motor unit 20 which rotates the inner shaft 12 about a longitudinal axis from the side of the base end. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
