PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can identify the variety of a plant Hevea brasiliensis accurately and in a simple manner. SOLUTION: Provided is the method for identifying the variety of the plant Hevea brasiliensis, characterized by identifying the variety of the plant Hevea brasiliensis based on at least one criterion selected from the presence or absence of a DNA fragment which is amplified by carrying out PCR by using genomic DNA extracted from the plant Hevea brasiliensis as a template and using a primer comprising a specific base sequence and a primer comprising a different specified base sequence, the length of the DNA fragment and the digestion pattern of the DNA fragment with a restriction enzyme.
