In the said method, functional files and software data of the user who is uninstalling software are deleted from multiuser environment memory. A cleanup agent is made in the common storage area of the multiuser environment and information on structure and layout of specific data of the software user in memory are entered into the cleanup agent. A user counter is made for the cleanup agent in the common storage area of the multiuser environment and a list with the number of software users is entered into it. The multiuser environment operating system is restarted. The cleanup agent is activated. For each software user, specific software data are deleted from the private user data area in the memory using the cleanup agent, and the number of users in the counter is reduced by one.
