<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load detection device using a piezoelectric effect for enabling stable detection of a load irrespective of an acting condition of a force of an object to be measured against the load detection device. <P>SOLUTION: This load detection device includes a piezoelectric material unit 1 that deforms by application of a voltage and generates an electric charge by a load applied from the outside, a driving section 3 for vibrating the piezoelectric material unit 1 by applying a voltage to the piezoelectric material unit 1, and a detecting section 4 for detecting an electric charge generated on the piezoelectric material unit 1. The piezoelectric material unit 1 includes at least one pressure sensitive face 11.
