An apparatus and a method for transmitting/receiving control information in a wireless digital broadcasting system are provided to reduce power consumption due to control information through an in-band signaling. P2 information of a next frame, position information of a data physical layer pipe, and information of PLP0 are determined(301). A change of information of PLP0, L1 static, or L1 configurable is checked in the next frame according to the determined information(302). A frame includes information which informs the change of the control information in the next frame and a position in the next frame of the broadcasting service, and is formed in PLP which provides the broadcasting service. The frame is provided through a wireless channel(305). The frame is moved to the next frame(306).
