A crystalline carbapenem compound and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to use as antibiotics and stably maintain. A crystalline carbapenem compound comprises a (4R,5S,6S)-3-[[(3S,5S)-5-[(dimethylamino)carbonyl]-3-pyrolidinyl]thio]-6-[(1R)-1-hydroyethyl]-4-methyl-7-oxo-1-azabicyclo[3.2.0]hept-2-en-2-carboxylic acid of the chemical formula 1. A method for manufacturing the crystalline carbapenem compound comprises" a step of crude product of the (4R,5S,6S)-3-[[(3S,5S)-5-[(dimethylamino)carbonyl]-3-pyrolidinyl]thio]-6-[(1R)-1-hydroyethyl]-4-methyl-7-oxo-1-azabicyclo[3.2.0]hept-2-en-2-carboxylic acid with water and stirring; a step of filtering solution to remove active charcoal; a step of concentrating and cooling; a step of adding crystal nucleus; a step of adding solvent and stirring; and a step of collecting and washing a precipitated crystal.
