A method for mechanical structuring of a flexible thin film solar cells and apparatus suitable therefore are provided to allow a trench region to be moved on an elastic base by using a mechanical scratch tool. A thin film solar cell(2) whole is provided on one flexible support layer(1) as a wafer material. The wafer material is maintained on the settling portion, and the wafer material is moved in trench regions on an elastic base. The wafer material is maintained by the affixation scheme on the settling portion, and the wafer material is mound at settling portion as a cross section.
