The mechanism (1) has a slider block that is associated to a helical spring. The block is movable between a normal blocking position and an unblocking position in which the block maintains a stop pin (22) in a locking position and releases the pin towards an unlocking position, respectively. Wings and a spindle (27) automatically control the block from the blocking position to the unblocking position when a sleeve (5) approaches its locking position. The spring and a lever (23) bring the stop pin to the unlocking position and automatically return the slider block to the blocking position.
