A method for bleaching alpha-sulfo fatty acid alkyl ester is provided to minimize dye of other color while not adding methanol, and to improve processing efficiency by completing a bleach process in a short time. A method for bleaching alpha-sulfo fatty acid alkyl ester before neutralization comprises the steps of putting alpha-sulfo fatty acid alkyl ester of a liquid state in a reactor; maintaining the temperature of reactor at 50-80 ‹C; and injecting the ozone of the gas phase inside the reactor. Until the bleaching of the alpha-sulfo fatty acid alkyl ester within the reactor, a temperature maintaining step and an ozone supply step are continued.
