A play or game ball 2, such as a football or rugby ball, houses a video camera having a wide angle lens 14 with protecting lens filter 16. As well as including an imaging camera, the ball may incorporate (see also Figure 2) a microphone 20, cooling fan 28 (in box 21), aerial 33 for transmitting images from transmitter 31, a rechargeable battery 27, transformer 23, and a counterweight 39. The ball incorporating an imaging device may be formed from two hemispheres 4, 6, reinforced by a aluminium band 32. The ball may be tethered to a pole via eye bolt connectors 34, and be of plastics foam construction or inflatable. |
