An electronic device and a jog shuttle driving method are provided to prevent malfunction or damage of the jog shuttle due to external pressure by forming a jog shuttle receiving groove. An electronic device includes a jog shuttle(100), a jog shuttle driving unit, and a jog shuttle receiving groove. The jog shuttle driving unit includes a motor(310) and a first rotation axis(320). If the power is applied to the electronic device, the motor separates the jog shuttle from the electronic device. If the power is blocked from the electronic device, the motor returns the jog shuttle to the electronic device. The first rotation axis connects the jog shuttle to the motor. At least a part of the lateral side of the jog shuttle is received in the jog shuttle receiving groove. The jog shuttle and the electronic device are engaged with a worm gear method.
