A stereoscopic video file format and a computer readable recording medium for recording a stereoscopic video file therefor are provided to classify a stereoscopic video fragment by a sample unit, thereby exactly dividing stereo and mono when analyzing a stereoscopic video file. A movie box(210) stores different element streams. A stereoscopic video media information box(220) stores stereoscopic video stream array information as many as the number of stereoscopic video ESs. The movie box includes one or more trak boxes(212) storing the ES. The stereoscopic video media information box exists at every trak box including a stereoscopic video ES. The stereoscopic video media information box includes identification information identifying a fragment by a sample unit.
