A digital photographing apparatus, a method for controlling the same, and a recording medium storing a program which implements the method are provided to obtain a clear image despite shaking of the digital photographing apparatus. A data obtaining unit obtains the first data about the first image of a subject through long exposure and the second data about the second image of the subject through short exposure. A motion vector extracting unit(52) extracts a motion vector between a location of the subject of the second image and a location of the subject of the first image. A blur determining unit(54) determines whether blur exists in the first image. A subject location determining unit(56) determines whether the location of the subject of the first image is the same as the location of the subject of the second image. A data synthesizing unit(58) produces color data synthesizing color data of the first data with color data of the second data, and data having luminance data from the second data as final data.
