PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ladder resistance circuit, a reference voltage generation circuit, a driver, an electro-optical apparatus and an electronic device for achieving high-accuracy resistance division within a small-scaled circuit area. SOLUTION: A ladder resistance circuit includes a plurality of resistance units RA1-RAmn (m, n are integers of≥2) and a plurality of selection units SLA1-SLAmn. The resistance units RA1-RAn connected in series are disposed along with a direction D1 and when a direction opposite to the direction D1 is defined as D3, the resistance units RAn+1 to RA2n connected in series are disposed along with the direction D3. When a direction orthogonal to the direction D1 is defined as D2, the resistance units RAn+1 is disposed in the direction D2 of the resistance unit RAn. A selection unit SLAi is disposed in the direction D2 of the resistance unit RAi, and connected to a tap corresponding to the resistance unit RAi. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
