PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method which can exhibit satisfactory fixing intensity, does not allow a formed image to produce strong gloss and, even if the image has a gloss, can form a toner image having even gloss without irregularity. SOLUTION: In the image forming method, image formation is performed by using a fixing device provided with: a core-shell structure toner of which the average roundness is 0.895 to 0.980; and a heating roller with an elastic layer having a resilient modulus of 30% to 70% and a thickness of 0.2 mm to 0.4 mm.
