<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device, a driving support method and a program enabling to supplement visibility of a blind spot region ahead in a traveling direction generated by a front pillar. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 41 obtains road shape information regarding a shape of a road ahead of an own vehicle 2 from map information stored in a map information DB 25. The CPU 41 calculates a blind spot region for a driver 8 generated by a right front pillar 3. When it is determined that at least a part of the calculated blind spot region is overlapped with a road ahead in a traveling direction, the CPU 41 displays a shot image corresponding to the blind spot region shot by a camera 4 on a pillar display 7. Thereafter, when the calculated blind spot region is determined not to be overlapped with the road ahead in the traveling direction within five seconds, the CPU 41 stops the graphic display of the pillar display 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
