PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compound derived from a natural compound originated from Macaranga tanarius (L.) MuLL. -ARG. and exhibiting physiological activity, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide an antitumor agent containing the compound as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: Provided is the compound represented by formula (1) and having a more excellent anti-tumor effect than those of natural compounds, produced by hydrogenating a compound (3) originated from Macaranga tanarius (L.)
