PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous dispersion comprising composite fluoropolymer particles which, even when an amount of a fluoropolymer is smaller than that of a conventional fluoropolymer, makes it possible to obtain characteristics of the fluoropolymer equal to or superior to those of the conventional fluoropolymer, and a method for producing the aqueous dispersion comprising the same. SOLUTION: The method for producing the aqueous dispersion comprising the composite fluoropolymer particles is characterized in that the polymer solution obtained by dissolving the fluoropolymer (A) in a monomer (b) having an ethylenically unsaturated group is subjected to emulsion polymerization.
