PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a plastically-liquefied material can be dropped in a space by a plastic flow of the material when an impeller shell and a converter cover are friction-churned and connected with each other. SOLUTION: In a connecting method of a torque converter case that the impeller shell 2 having an opening and the converter cover 1 covering the opening of the impeller shell 2 are butted with each other and the impeller shell 2 and the converter cover 1 are connected with friction-churned connection, a bank member 7 for interrupting a plastic flow of the material of the impeller shell 2 and the converter cover 1 at the time of friction-churned connection as a member integrated with a component organizing a lock-up clutch 10 is arranged on the opposite side against the inserting side of a tool for friction-churned connection at a section connected between the impeller shell 2 and the converter cover 1 with the friction-churned connection.
